Arboretum gardens and trails open dawn to dusk, every day of the year.
Education Center open 9am to 4pm, Tuesday through Saturday.
Restrooms open 8am to 6pm every day.
A suggested donation is encouraged.
GARDEN ETIQUETTE
Mountain Top Arboretum is a public garden, which differs from a public park. Following our rules will help us maintain the plant collections and natural areas so that all may enjoy this very special place. Thank you for your cooperation!
Please smell and touch the plants. Do not pull, climb or damage them.
No food, picnicking, barbecuing, smoking (e-cigarettes included), drone operation, sports activities or swimming.
Please walk on the grass, not in the flower beds.
Stay on the trails in the wilder areas.
Carry In/Carry Out. Please take your trash with you when you leave.
Dogs are not permitted in the West Meadow or the Woodland Walk. Dogs are permitted on leash on Maude Adams Road and the East Meadow and off-leash on Spruce Glen trails.
Allow others to enjoy nature’s sounds – please use headphones.
Do not feed or approach animals.
Please only park in designated areas and respect our neighbors’ privacy.
And don't forget:
Drink plenty of water!
There is no public telephone.
It is difficult to push strollers and wheelchairs on most of the paths due to the soft surfaces.
Bird watching, painting, drawing and photography are encouraged!
